What is a night market
?

A night market is an under-the-stars open-air street market which operates at night (D6 Night Market festivities begin at 4:00pm and continue throughout the night until 10:00pm). Typically, vendors are small scale entrepreneurs with their market stands run, for the most part, by family.

First and foremost night markets are a social gathering.  Most people going to a night market have no goal in mind other than to enjoy themselves.  Night markets provide a casual place where people can mingle, leisurely stroll around, eat food and have a nice evening while hearing the banter of vendors hawking food and goods and enjoy the sense of excitement that arises from being amid a festive crowd.

Night markets are enjoyed in many countries around the world and have gained popularity along the west coast from Seattle to Los Angeles.
