The initials “D6” symbolize the more than 152,000 people living in the neighborhoods of Kearny Mesa, Miramar, Mira Mesa, Rancho Encantada, Scripps Ranch, Sorrento Valley and University City. D6 is physically fragmented by natural canyons and internally partitioned by man-made freeways and a large military base. D6 is geographically in the “Heart of San Diego.” https://www.sandiego.gov/sites/default/files/92973.pdf
