About District 6

The initials “D6” symbolize the more than 155,000 people living in the neighborhoods of Clairemont, Kearny Mesa, Miramar, Mira Mesa, Rancho Peñasquitos-Park Village, and Sorrento Valley. D6 is physically fragmented by natural canyons and internally partitioned by man-made freeways and a large military base. D6 is perhaps the most ethnically diverse district in the city, it is possible to meet the wonderful people of the world and experience its culture – blend of sights, sounds, smells, and tastes by visiting District 6. When you are in D6 the world comes to you. D6 many cultural events bring the “world at your doorstep.”
